For those who didn't know, Antonio Puerta of FC Sevilla, died days later after collapsing during a Primera Liga match on Saturday. Puerta is the third high-profile footballer to die after collapsing on the field in recent years.
The young Sevilla midfielder/left-back, collapsed and lost consciousness in what appeared to be sudden cardiac arrest during a match against Getafe. He was resuscitated and brought off the pitch, but collapsed again in the changing room.
He remained on life support in hospital till Wednesday, when he eventually, passed away.
