Night of music, lights and merry people!

In short, this is got to be the best...if not best'est event I've been to, in the scale of crowd size, popularity and madness. With 2 of the top 10 DJ's in the world performing (Tiesto & Ferry Corsten) in a massive 2 night rave, what else could top it?

Joining a random group of people, consisting of 2nd degree friends, we headed down Port Dickson last Friday afternoon. Our first stop was to check into the villa which was a nice little place. The villas were perched around a small lagoon like area with mini ponds and bridges, but sadly, were poorly maintained.

Looks nice on the outside right? Inside however, alot was at miss. The water was yellow (causing me to get these red spots on my body), the heater wasn't functioning, the sheets were uncleaned, and the TV remote was missing. But yet again, we were reminded that we were here for the rave party, not the accommodative necessities.

Entering the main gates of the event was quite a hassle. There were at least 4 security checkpoints with several security officers manning each one of them. Once we passed the security check, it was a vast opening of tents, massive stages, spotlights, music, and crowds getting ready to party.

Local DJ, Vinn, was the warm-up DJ.

There were many of these cigarette bars around, and the promoters would constantly approach you to sell their goods.

Ferry Corsten (currently ranked number 8 in the DJ magazine poll) started playing at around 10pm. Giving us his hit remixes such as 'Beautiful' & 'Out Of The Blue' plus other trance anthems which vary from hard to progressive to industrial, he got everyone on their feet and started jumping and dancing around.

Crowds were getting hyped up!

After nearly 2 hours of Ferry Corsten's mixing plus a laser man display, the crowd were all ready for the main event, Tiesto's appearance on stage. It started with an earthly message on the huge screen of the set, followed by the opening mix, Elements of Life. And soon enough, the scene blasted with electrifying vibes and euphoric screams.

Day one ended with us hitting the beds, sofa & whatever we could sleep on in the wee hours of the morning. Too tired to even have the pre-planned after-party celebration, we ate burgers instead and dozed off till the next day.

Day 2. Didn't really had much to do during daytime I suppose. Ended up watching the TV with limited selection of Astro channels the whole morning. However, we did took some time off to stroll around the beach just behind the resort we were staying.

And another one before we left for the rave

Day 2 started with performance by Cosmic Gate, consisting of 2 DJ's playing to various types of trance. Working the crowd with their own unique mixes, I'll have to say they're actually not bad at all.

And around midnight, he came again with a megaload of trance remixes from the Elements of Life album and his other famed tracks such as 'Traffic', 'Lethal Industry' & 'Love Comes Again'

If you don't know him, this will probably help you

He is non other than Tiesto!!!!

The crowd was absolutely erupting. People dancing around like there's no tomorrow, stomping the yard like mad, shuffling their legs off, and even the wildest antics you've never seen before.

The song 'Adagio For Strings' was a perfect ending to everything the rave had to offer. Good music, amazing crowd, and an even more amazing performance by the DJ's. Tiesto gave us an encore with a powermix from scratch to the sprays of confetti and fireworks. This possibly is the last we will here from him on Malaysia shores...

4 days had passed since the rave ended and yet, I still have those trance moments playbacks. Can't wait for the next big rave to happen =)
